My Brief was to create a range of characters for fictional animated TV series called SOAP.

These characters would form a challenge on the MYLO language website where a user could colour in their own characters using the software of the website.

I had to create quite a large number of characters in a short space of time so had to be extremely efficient in my use of assets.

Inspired by the likes of Futurama, The Simpsons, American Dad and Elliot Kid (stunning children's animated series), I set about creating the cast list, reusing as many assets as possible such as eyes and legs to speed up the process.

SOFTWARE USED

I tend to start with an initial pencil sketch before adding shapes in illustrator.

Generally use Photoshop for texture effects or mock ups.

I particularly liked the depth of field effect I got from blurring some of the backgrounds.
Would love to have animated these characters
